Keen to help out as many Aussies as they can, Nando’s has launched its ‘Pay It Forward’ initiative offering 50% off takeaway orders to frontline healthcare and emergency service workers, as well as providing their PERi-Perks loyalty members with the option to gift a meal to a mate.
With the global COVID-19 pandemic causing hardships for many people across Australia, Nando’s has stepped up to provide some relief for those tirelessly working on the frontline in heath and emergency services.
Meaning, if you’re a frontline healthcare worker, you’re now eligible for 50% of any take-away order you place at Nando’s if you rock up wearing your uniform or show them your badge. While it’s a small gesture, they hope it will provide help to those who are bravely putting their life on the lines for the country.
“This is a really tough time for all Aussies. Nando’s has a workforce of over 2,000 staff who want to help and this is great way for Nando’s and it’s employees to acknowledge the amazing efforts of our Healthcare and Emergency Services industry workers during this time.”
“Our teams see both the exhaustion and gratitude on the faces of these workers when they come into our restaurants and order. Whether it’s fuelling them during their work break or bringing their family together for a meal after shift, we’re just happy to be doing our bit to make their day easier.”
In addition to their efforts in alleviating the hunger of healthcare workers across Australia, the famous flame-grilled chicken chain is also offering their ‘Pay It Forward’ initiative, making it where loyal PERi-Perks customers can gift a meal to a mate in need.
“Although we can’t share a meal with our mates and loved ones like we usually do, now more than ever it’s important to remember that we’re in this together. We love this as a way to either shout a friend a feed so our customers can virtually eat together from the safety of their own homes, or perhaps provide a meal to someone who is doing it tougher than them and could do with a bit of a pick-me-up.”
