Heck yes! The cast of Napoleon Dynamite will be taking part in a virtual reunion next month and it could be the saving grace of 2020.

As per Consequence of Sound, several actors from the 2004 cult classic will be in a pre-recorded broadcast ‘Cyber Dynamite’. The special event will raise money for The Hunger Project, a charity working to end hunger across the globe.

Jon Heder, who played the (extremely) awkward but loveable Napoleon, is set to return, alongside Efrem Ramirez, Jon Gries, Tina Majorino, Haylie Duff, and Shondrella Avery.

Several “surprise” cast members have also been confirmed, with details to be revealed in the coming days. Rex of Rex Kwon Do better be included or we riot.

It’s not the first reunion to take place in the intervening years. The cast got together for the film’s 10th anniversary in 2014 and also for their 15-year anniversary in 2019.

Heder and Ramirez even starred in a 2016 commercial for Burger King. That’s what happens when bloody Kip eats all the bloody chips.

For those not familiar with the comedy, the film follows Napoleon as he tries to help his best friend Pedro become class president, all while dealing with severe anxiety and a chaotic family.

Rumours have swirled about a sequel for a while now. Perhaps the livestream will finally inspire them to sort it out. “It could happen. I feel that the stories of Napoleon aren’t complete,” Heder said in 2016.

‘Cyber Dynamite’ will air next Friday, December 4th, 8PM ET/12PM AEDT on YouTube. Fans can enter a raffle giveaway, with every $75 entry being considered for prizes including a 20-minute acting lesson with Ramirez (someone’s definitely going to wear a Vote for Pedro t-shirt to that, aren’t they?).

A custom hand-drawn portrait by Heder and a custom Uncle Rico autographed Wilson NGL football courtesy of Gries are also up for grabs. For more information about the special event, head here.
