ESPN Films and Netflix are teaming up to create a ten-part documentary series about Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls team that dominated the NBA during the ’90s.
The Last Dance is being created with Jordan’s official co-operation which means it probably won’t delve into the various conspiracies surrounding his prodigious gambling addiction, such as rumours he was ousted from the NBA at his peak (the baseball years) or that his father’s murder was related to Jordan’s dealing in the shady Chicago underworld. Again, these are just conspiracy theories.

The series will be directed by Jason Hehir, who helmed the excellent 30 for 30 doco The Fab Five, as well as the recent Andre The Giant. He has access to over 500 hours of footage from the era that is yet to see the light of day. That’s a lot of Pippen.
