Netflix Australia will increase the fees on its standard and premium plans by up to $3 a month from today.

The price or the standard plan will increase from $15.99 to $16.99 a month. Whilst the price for the premium plan will go up from $19.99 to $22.99 a month. The basic plan remains at $10.99 a month.

Netflix’s increased price will be rolled out from November 11th for new customers, but it won’t apply to existing members until their next billing date, after November 18th.

“We know Australians have never had more choices when it comes to entertainment, and we’re more committed than ever to delivering an experience that exceeds their expectations,” a spokesperson for Netflix told News.com.au.

“Members tell us how much they value the breadth and variety of the catalogue, and we’re updating our prices so that we can continue to invest in more shows and films.

“As always, there’ll be different plans so that people can pick a price that works for their budget.”

Comparitively, Disney+ will set you back $11.99 a month, BINGE is $14 a month, Amazon Prime Video is $6.99 a month, Stan is $14 month, Paramount+ is $8.99 a month and Apple TV+ is $7.99 a month. (Side note: if you dabble in the world of VPN blockers, we gently recommend a Criterion Channel recommendation.)
