Tassie’s imposing landscape leaves a profound mark on its visitors. Recently awarded the Bruny Island residency in Tasmania, Sydney artist Nicole Kelly is showcasing a series of landscapes she completed during that time entitled Sea, Bush And Some Flowers.

All completeden plein air –created outside and finished in one sitting – Kelly’s works dsplay an immediate and close relationship with her wild and delicate surroundings. Scenes of blue seas, windy washed skies and flora so iconicly Australian, all in the language of abstracted form and colour, form the basis of the collection.

For a winter sea-change, Sea, Bush And Some Flowers will be on display from Wednesday July 9 – Saturday July 26 at NG Gallery in Chippendale.
