A viral but fake meme is going around saying that Ryan Gosling is calling people who make memes about him “losers and virgins.”

A new viral meme has been making the rounds in which Twitter users are joking that Ryan Gosling will call anyone who makes memes about him “losers and virgins.” This is a fake quote, Ryan Gosling never said this, but it isn’t stopping the internet from having some fun with it anyway.

Under a recent Culture Crave post regarding a real quote from Ryan Gosling about him wanting to join the MCU as Ghost Rider, one user provided the fake quote from Gosling which was quickly debunked as a joke.

“not a real quote but love that this is becoming a meme”

The joke didn’t originate under the @culturecrave tweet but it definitely helped it become viral. Other people were already in on the joke and it only gained traction from there.

“oh like ryan gosling’s not a virgin”

“You can’t post Ryan Gosling memes if you’re not a virgin.”

While Gosling may not have really commented about ‘virgins and losers’ on the internet, Ryan Gosling is aware the internet has been trying to break him and gave him ‘no choice’ when it came to playing Ken in Barbie.

Gosling continued to talk about his role as Ken, “We’ve been having so much fun making this movie and it felt nice to see everyone else start having as much fun as we are. I can’t wait for the film to come out and for that to continue.”

Gosling also recently spoke on his involvement in the upcoming Netflix movie The Gray Man, which will release on July 22nd.

“Not just Chris and the Russos, but that whole team has been working together for so long that it’s just such a well-oiled machine,” said Gosling. “I definitely was the new guy, but I was just along for the ride and I couldn’t have picked a better team to do it with.”

“The whole environment is very collaborative. It’s very inclusive and I think because the brothers are brothers, it’s just inherently collaborative. It’s like, everybody chips in, best idea wins,” he added. “It’s a really nice vibe.”
