The only constant in this life is change, and so it seems to have gone for Old Mate’s Block Party.

When one band bows out, another is always there to step in and fill the empty space. That’s how it’s gone down for Old Mate’s Block Party, anywho. Given health issues have forced beloved voodoo rock’n’rollers Papa Pilko And The Binrats to pull out, Old Mate’s curators, The Lockhearts, have acted fast and replaced the band with Joseph Liddy and The Skeleton Horse.

Comprised of ex-members of The Middle East,Joseph Liddy and The Skeleton Horse are a ten-member powerhouse, a veritable army of musicians playing soul and funk jams. It’s just proof that every cloud has its silver lining, and news that should be warmly recieved by all those who were already excited after the first lineup announcement.

Old Mate’s Block Party hits the Factory Floor on Saturday January 30. Tickets are only $20, and can be purchased here.
