The Palestinian Film Festival, which is set to arrive in Sydney this November, plans to move away from nightly news stories, aiming to offer an intimate image of Palestinian culture.
Festival directorNaser Shakhtoursays,“Palestine is aculturally rich part of the world. We want to share this knowledge andtell our stories, to enrich Australia’s understanding of Palestine beyond the news headlines.”
The festival will feature a diverse range of films from psychological thrillers such asEyes Of A ThieftoThe Wanted 18, a film thattells the story of a Palestinian committee that purchased a herd of cows to undermine Israeli control.
