Phillip Island Nature Parks are here to save 2020 with their new venture. Their adorable and iconic penguin parade will be streamed.

Starting from Tuesday, August 25th, they will live stream the penguin parade on both Facebook and Youtube. Don’t worry if you’re busy tonight though because Phillip Island have your back. The event will be live streamed nightly for the rest of the year.

It’s a much-needed dose of cuteness that almost – almost – might save 2020. It’s the next best thing to actually being up close and personal to the penguins. The COVID-19 pandemic means that’s out of the question for the foreseeable future.

According to Phillip Island Nature Parks, this is perhaps the world’s first live stream of a natural wildlife event at a regular time. It’s an example of Australia leading the rest of the world in adorable innovation.

The live streams will be completely free and will run for 30 minutes on both platforms. Pingu’s people, known as Little Penguins, come ashore just after sunset (AEST) nightly, but this varies each month. Check out the Penguin Arrival Calendar so you don’t miss their march.

All of Phillip Island Nature Parks ecotourism attractions are temporarily closed to visitors right now. If you have the means to, you can donate to their rangers and researchers, who continue to work. They protect the little cuties while attractions are shut. Go one step further and adopt one of the penguins if you can’t get enough of their waddling feet.

If you simply can’t hold off until tomorrow evening, Phillip Island Nature Parks’ Instagram account has been posting amazing pictures of the penguins before their big performance. It should be illegal to be that adorable. It’s just not fair on the rest of us.
