Summer isn’t gone until Piccolina Gelateria and Four Pillars Gin says so. So they’re bringing us boozy granitas.
As per TimeOut Melbourne, Piccolina, purveyors of heavenly delights aka ice-cream connoisseurs have come together with iconic gin distillers, Four Pillars Gin to bring the people what they want: a range of spiked granitas.
The new collaboration comes to life as a trio of three flavours of spiked goodness.
First up there’s the Southside Granita that’s sure to get your tastebuds tingling. Featuring Four Pillars Rare Dry Gin and of course, fresh lime, this one sounds like a deliciously zesty and citrusy cocktail.
Then there’s the Singapore Sling Granita which features hits of pineapple and lime, as well as pomegranate juice and a dash of Cointreau. This presence of gin in this one is brought by Four Pillars’ famous Bloody Shiraz Gin.
Last and certainly not least, there’s the Negroni Granita – which is bound to be a hogging the spotlight. This concoction has all of the makings of a classic Negroni – think Campari, sweet vermouth and Four Pillars Spiced Negroni Gin. You’ll also be able to detect a squeeze of fresh orange juice in place of the orange peel garnish which usually makes an appearance in the cocktail.
Although you may be craving one of these granitas pretty hard right now (we don’t blame you), you’re going to have to wait just a little while longer, as the granitas will be available beginning on March 10th, through until April 7th.
The trio of granitas come in at $10 a pop and each cup measures out to be one standard drink. And as per Piccolina’s Instagram post, the granitas won’t be available at all of their stores, but just their new Swan Street venue in Richmond, Melbourne.
That’s a pretty cool way to christen the new store, don’t you think?
