The only DMs I have any interest in sliding into. Pizza Hut has just launched a new chatbot where you’ll be able to slap down an order for a thicc BBQ Meatlovers without leaving the comfort of social media. Whilst we’re not quite sure who this new system is marketed towards, it exists, and we’re talking about it.
To access the bot you’ll just need to head to the Pizza Hut Instant Ordering Facebook page. Once you hit ‘Get Started’ in the messenger window, it will send you a bunch of prompts and gently hold your hand through the whole process.
This isn’t the first time a fast food restaurant has implemented Facebook bots to streamline their process, but this is the first bot that allows users to complete a transaction without exiting Facebook.
“We are the first in the industry in Australia to provide a ‘Native’ experience – the customer is never asked to leave Facebook Messenger App to complete their order, meaning their end-to-end experience takes place entirely within the Facebook Messenger app,” a spokesperson shared with Yahoo Finance.
I don’t know about you but if I had the cojones to pursue a career in scamming I’d be hot-footing it to make a Dominoes Instant Ordering page to swindle cash out of unsuspecting customers looking to chow down on a spicy veg trio.
In Pizza Hut adjacent news, earlier this year experts weighed in on why Pizza Hut’s classic 481 1111 number is so memorable. Read more about it now.
