After anticipation which spanned the globe itself, Australia is ready for the world’s first full-scale temporary working replica of Shakespeare’s theatre, the second Globe.

Pop-up Globe, which has hosted performances to 550,000 people in just two and half years, is finally coming to Perth.

Popping up at Crown Perth from Wednesday, October 9, 2019, the Globe will present an epic festival of Shakespearean delight for a full season.

“Shakespeare performed in the space it was written for is a completely unique experience,” said Pop-up Globe’s Founder and Artistic Director, Dr Miles Gregory. “This isn’t dusty old Shakespeare – it is bawdy, hilarious, brutal and blood-soaked. This is Shakespeare alive, like a party.”

Perth’s Pop-up Globe will present four of Shakespeare’s most spectacular masterworks – Hamlet, A Midsummer Nights’ Dream, Measure for Measure, and Twelfth Night. Think stunning costumes, elaborate sets, special effects, and litres of blood…

Tickets are on sale now via Live Nation at popupglobe.com.au. For School bookings contact Ticketmaster Groups at 1300 889 278.

Prices start from $29 – a handling fee from $5.95 per transaction applies.
