A slew of local and international acts have been added to the folk festival’s already impressive roster.

The calm and picturesque surrounds of coastal village Port Fairy has announced a second lineup of artists for its annual folk festival, with Bennett, Bowetell & Urquhart, Mick Thomas & The Roving Commission, Neil Murray, Suzannah Espie, Kerri Simpson, Barb Waters & Alison Ferrier, Melody Pool, Jemma & The Clifton Hillbillies, Fem Belling, Yirrmal, Low Down Riders, and Miss Amber & Stukulele among the national names to be added. Port Fairy will also see international acts Roo Panes, The Young Folk, Les Poules a Colin, and Bazzookas all making their Australian debut, along with a range of other international guests hailing from as far as the Arctic.

If that’s not enough, Vince Jones and The Astral Orchestra have announced special projectMasterpieces.Bringing together some of Australia’s finest jazz and rock musicians, music director Matt McMahon joins Vince Jones to pay tribute to Van Morrison’sAstral Weeks andMoondance albums, in what is sure to be a special homage to the soulful folk of the Irish troubadour.
