Prince Harry has officially updated his job description, with the announcement that he is taking on the role of chief impact officer at Silicon Valley startup, BetterUp.
CNN Business have reported that Harry is a part of the company’s leadership team, describing him as “humanitarian, military veteran, mental wellness advocate, and environmentalist.”
According to CNN, BetterUp focus on providing both coaching and mental health services and in a recent company blog post written Harry, he mentioned that he had worked with them previously, for personal reasons.
Harry wrote, “What caught my attention about BetterUp was that the company’s mission to unlock the potential in people everywhere necessitates innovation, impact, and integrity. Their team has been delivering on that work for years.”
“I’ve personally found working with a BetterUp coach to be invaluable. I was matched with a truly awesome coach who has given me sound advice and a fresh perspective,” Harry added.
The recent news of Prince Harry’s and Meghan Markle’s decision to royally exit from his previous life and duties with the Royal Family made waves in the media.
While they dropped by to chat with Oprah in the exclusive interview, Harry also took the time to share some insight into the couple’s decision at a dinner for his charity, Sentebale, with its purpose to support children affected by the HIV virus, where he reminded everyone that he was speaking “not as a prince, or a duke, but as Harry.”
Harry continued, “Our hope was to continue serving the Queen, the Commonwealth, and my military associations without public funding. Unfortunately, that wasn’t possible.”
“I know that you’ve come to know me well enough over all these years to trust that the woman I chose as my wife upholds the same values as I do. And she does.”
