Australia’s biggest comedy competition RAW Comedy has announced the open-mic heat dates for 2015.
RAW Comedy features amateur comedians from all over the country, competing to be the funniest, with the National Grand Final being held at Melbourne Town Hall as part of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, and is filmed and aired on ABC2. Former entrants include Chris Lilley, Josh Thomas, and Matt Okine.
The Sydney heats take place at The Comedy Store every Tuesday from January 13 until February 24, with the first heat being MC’d by former triple j host Tom Ballard.
Newcastle has it’s own Raw Heat at The Playhouse on Saturday January 31.
The heats for the Raw Comedy National Competition run throughout January and February, with the New South Wales final taking place on Tuesday March 17
