Dave Grohl’s love of AC/DC is well documented, whether it’s a Foo Fighters cover of ‘Let There Be Rock’ on the usually staid BBC Live Lounge set, or an anecdote in a recent Rolling Stone feature where his daughter asked for an Imagine Dragons record but instead got given AC/DC.
Following the passing of Malcolm Young over the weekend, Grohl penned a heartfelt letter about how Young’s music shaped how he saw rock and roll.
Read it below, and check out his on-stage tribute to Young in Mexico City .
Thank you, Malcolm for the songs, and the feel, and the cool, and the years of losing control to your rock and roll. I will do just that tonight, for you. pic.twitter.com/dnwm1uRFqd
