Rebel Wilson has shared her own #MeToo moment, revealing that she was once sexually harassed by an unnamed co-star.

Speaking to PEOPLE, Rebel opened up about the harrowing incident that took place several years ago, before the #MetToo movement gained traction.

“He called me into a room and pulled down his pants,” Rebel said of her co-star, adding that he then asked her to perform a lewd act in front of his friends.

“It was awful and disgusting,” she told the magazine, without naming the actor or which film it was.

“And all the behaviour afterwards — this was all before #MeToo — where they kind of tried to destroy me and my career. If it had happened after #MeToo, then I could have just blasted them.”

“I got certain things in writing about what happened,” she said. “Definitely among industry circles, I made sure people knew what happened.”

The Pitch Perfect added that she should have quit the movie when it happened, admitting that her staying to complete the project  “wasn’t worth it.”

“But at the same time, I was like, ‘Oh well, do the right thing, be a professional and finish the movie.’ Now I would never do that,” she explained.
