We’ve all been there: it’s two in the morning, you should be asleep, but instead you’ve gone down a Youtube hole.

That’s the basic set-up of ‘The Rizzle’ a frankly horrifying short from Brisbane filmmaker Josh Tanner. Focusing on an unnamed young protagonist who stumbles across an eerie video depicting a 1920s style dance known as ‘The Rizzle’, the short slowly builds up to a frankly chilling conclusion; one so potent that it’d be well advised that you don’t watch this one before bed.

In fact, this one’s best watched in the cold bright of daylight, lest you start seeing demons out of the corners of your eye.

Watch ‘The Rizzle’ below:

The short was commissioned by those fine folks over at Hulu as part of their Huluween content. Eight filmmakers were chosen to take part in the project, with each auteur challenged to come up with the creepiest short they could possibly imagine.

Excitingly, Tanner is the only Australian in the bunch, making this particular chiller a uniquely home grown affair. Give it a watch and then share it with your unsuspecting mates: the more views that ‘The Rizzle’ gets, the better chance Tanner has of racking up the views necessary to win the comp, giving him the opportunity to use his frightening talents to craft an entire pants-shitting feature.

So get on it, won’t you!
