Gentlemen, start your engines because RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under is set to return for another season on streaming service Stan.

RuPaul confirmed the news in a statement, “I am thrilled to produce and host a brand new season of RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under,’ he wrote. “We’ve only just begun to shine a worldwide spotlight on the charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent of Australasian queens.”

The second season of RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under is set to premiere in 2022. Casting for the forthcoming season is open now, for all future queens eager to apply you can do so at rdrcasting.com.

Cailah Scobie, Stan chief content officer, said: “Aussie fans loved the Stan Original Series RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under and demanded a second season.

“As the most awarded reality competition show in TV history, the decision was an easy one, and we can’t wait to see the incredible talent that the show will unveil after the high bar set by season one.”

The inaugural season aired on Stan earlier this year. New Zealand drag queen Kita Mean made her mark as the first-ever antipodean addition to the Drag Race Hall of Fame, taking home a $30,000 cash prize and makeup supplies.

The additional judges and celebrity guest appearances will be unveiled soon. Last season saw the likes of Boy director Taika Waititi, Kylie and Dannii Minogue, Troye Sivan, Aunty Donna, Olivia Newton-John and The Veronicas all make an appearance.
