Details may be scarce, but from what we do know, it looks like Sacha Baron Cohen’s new show is going to be great. In fact, a rather long and exhausting Facebook post by Sarah Palin has revealed that she was tricked into being interviewed on the show.
Last night, the politician and Tina Fey lookalike took to Facebook to rant about her experience. The almost 400 word rant manages to fit a whole bunch of stuff in between two of the most Alaskan statements I’ve ever read.
“Yup – we were duped. Ya’ got me, Sacha. Feel better now?” and “By the way, my daughter thinks you’re a piece of ****, Sacha.” The eloquence in this writing is incredible. Linked at the end is this article showing a warning tweet about the upcoming show.
Palin talks of a “”legit opportunity” to honor American Vets and contribute to a “legit Showtime historical documentary” was requested of me via a speakers bureau.” It also describes a disabled war veteran in a wheelchair that Palin believes to be Cohen in disguise.
Cohen is known for his controversial comedy and characters, but from the teasers posted so far, this series looks like its going to take that to a whole new level. Palin says she “sat through a long “interview” full of Hollywoodism’s disrespect and sarcasm – but finally had enough and literally, physically removed my mic and walked out.”
She also challenged Cohen – or as she refers to him “shallow Sacha boy” – to air the footage, which is weird. “Experience tells us it will be heavily edited, not pretty, and intended to humiliate.” continued the politician. She also apparently got dropped off at the wrong airport afterwards which is hilarious.
It took her three days to reorganise her flights home. Is Alaska really that difficult to get to? Read the full essay here.
