Check out some of the wildest advertisements on Donald Trump’s Truth Social from this satirical Tweet about ads.

A recent satirical Tweet from The Onion writer, Keaton Patti, is so good that it has some people confused about its validity.

The Tweet in question has a series of satirical ads that look like screenshots from Donald Trump’s Truth Social platform. The satire is eliciting a variety of reactions from across the political spectrum, we compiled some of them below for your viewing.

“I downloaded Truth Social just to see how crazy it was and these are just some of the ads I saw on it.”

“Lol it’s so cool making hoaxes disguised as satire to cynically exploit people’s confusion. Morally you’re in the clear because you surely don’t intend for people to wrongly believe it, and share it due that misapprehension, and then benefit professionally… do you? haha lol jk”

“You don’t think the problem is that all of these are plausible ads on the “conservative social network”? Because that seems like the bigger issue than someone doing a little joke.”

“Tucker Carlson’s lawyers argued in court that “general tenor of the show should inform a viewer that TC is not stating actual facts about the topics he discusses and is instead engaging in exaggeration and non-literal commentary”. Hope your complaints aren’t limited to comedians.”

“Knowingly spreading misinformation while masquerading as a legit news program is much much worse than “misinformation” produced by comedians working for The Onion, an extremely well-known satire publication”

“When I was lost down the conspiracy rabbit hole, I bought a giant bottle of colloidal silver.

All it did was make me sick to my stomach and my mouth hurt.

Don’t ever drink that shit.”

Truth Social has gained further notoriety recently, with one user getting so radicalized on the platform that he tried to storm an FBI facility.

Trump was notoriously permanently banned from Twitter and temporarily banned from Facebook in January of 2021. Both bans were related to his response to the violent riots that happened at the US Capitol that same month.

Trump then decided to launch his own social media platform called ‘Truth Social’.

“I created TRUTH Social and TMTG to stand up to the tyranny of Big Tech,” Trump said in a statement.

“We live in a world where the Taliban has a huge presence on Twitter while your favorite American president has been silenced. This is unacceptable,” he added.

“I am excited to send out my first TRUTH on TRUTH Social very soon. TMTG was founded with a mission to give a voice to all. I’m excited to soon begin sharing my thoughts on TRUTH Social and to fight back against Big Tech. Everyone asks me why doesn’t someone stand up to Big Tech? Well, we will be soon!”
