Hollywood royalty Scarlett Johansson has married SNL’s Colin Jost in an ‘intimate ceremony’, the couple has announced.

According to 7news, the couple married over the weekend, with the news announced by the Instagram account for Meals on Wheels America on Thursday, October 29th. The photo was of the Staten Island Ferry with cans attached to the end and the funny caption, “JOST MARRIED” (giving Jost a run for the money in the jokes department).

“We’re thrilled to break the news that Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost were married over the weekend in an intimate ceremony with their immediate family and love ones, following COVID-19 safety precautions as directed by the CDC,” the post read.

“Their wedding wish is to help make a difference for vulnerable older adults during this difficult time by supporting @mealsonwheelsamerica. Please consider donating to celebrate the happy couple by clicking the link in our bio.”

Johansson and Jost got engaged in May 2019 after dating for two years. In July of that year, Black Widow debuted her 11-carat engagement ring while taking to the stage at Comic-Con in San Diego.

It’s third time lucky for Johansson. She was previously married to Deadpool’s Ryan Reynolds from 2008 to 2011, and her divorce was finalised from Romain Dauriac in 2017 after three years of marriage (she shares a daughter, Rose, with him).

Jost has been a writer for SNL since 2005, graduating to co-host of the show’s Weekend Update in 2014. Alongside Michael Che, the pair have overseen one of the trickiest periods for the iconic show. The cast has been criticised for being one of the weakest in recent memory, while they’ve also had to deal with trying to find humour in as the U.S.’s democracy has crumbled around them.

Johansson has actually hosted SNL six times, stretching back to 2006, one year after Jost joined the writing team. We wonder if she ever noticed him at the start.

It’s Jost’s first time round at marriage and we’re not jealous, we’re not jealous at all.
