The second bonus episode of Euphoria finally has a release date! HBO has just announced that Part 2: Jules will be airing January 24th.

This Sunday, viewers finally got to dip their toes into Euphoria again through a special bonus episode focusing on Roe, the character played by Zendaya. Now, HBO has announced the second of the slated two episodes, due for release on January 24th.

The upcoming special is titled Part 2: Jules, or Fuck Anyone Who’s Not A Sea Blob. The story will focus on Jules’s time during the holiday break — after she leaves Roe at the train station — and how she tries to escape the memories. The special episode aired this Sunday showed the aftermath of Jules’ departure from Roe’s (Zendaya) point of view, as she struggles to cope and eventually relapses.

Hunter Schafer, who plays Jules, co-wrote the episode with director Sam Levinson. She also serves as co-executive producer.

Earlier this year, Euphoria bagged three awards at the Emmys, including Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for Zendaya.

Going up against veterans like Jennifer Aniston and Olivia Colman, Zendaya’s win made her the youngest winner in the category in the award’s history. She also became only the second Black woman to receive the award, the first being Viola Davis in 2015.

Of course, drama ensued shortly after the awards, particularly due to the phrase ‘upset win’ used by the New York Post to describe her victory. Although it only referred to the fact that Zendaya had conquered the category despite being an underdog figure, fans quickly took offense and jumped to her defense.

The second bonus episode of Euphoria airs January 24th on HBO and HBO Max.
