After a previous joke about a potential Deadpool Stranger Things crossover, Shawn Levy has now clarified his comments on Twitter.

Producer for Stranger Things, Shawn Levy, was recently interviewed by Variety on the Emmys red carpet and joked that Stranger Things could be having a crossover with Deadpool. He recently took to Twitter to give further clarification on his joke, which news outlets quickly picked up and ran with as legitimate news.

“Wade Wilson can’t stand the sight of blood, unless it’s his own or his enemies. Nose- bleeds are a hard Pass. No DP/ST crossover coming, folks. Sorry my dumb joke led to misleading headlines”

Levy also made interesting comments about how Netflix has plans to expand the Stranger Things universe and how he has been spending time with Kevin Feige as of late.

“Yes, we are building out the STCU, and now that I’m spending time with [chief creative officer of Marvel Entertainment] Kevin Feige, I’m learning a lot about how to manage a universe,” he revealed. “So I’m taking those skills and applying them to the STCU.”

Here is Levy’s original joke about the potential crossover:

“Funnily enough, (Deadpool actor) Ryan (Reynolds) and I were trying to figure out how in the world could we do a DeadpoolStranger Things crossover,” he said. “We haven’t cracked it yet, but it’s on the table.”

“Matt and Ross are an exceptionally unique talent with a vision so crisp and clear,” Ted Sarandos, co-CEO and chief content officer of Netflix, said about the STCU. “They are all about the details — it’s no accident that ‘Stranger Things’ has pierced the zeitgeist to become the epic pop culture phenomenon it is today.”

Culture Crave also reported on the incident on Twitter.

“Shawn Levy and Ryan Reynolds are trying to figure out a #StrangerThings & #Deadpool crossover “It’s on the table”
