When David Attenborough starts trending on Twitter, everyone gets just a little bit scared.

But don’t worry, the man is very much alive and healthy, he’s only just criticising our mass mismanagement of our country.

It’s safe to say that when famous and legendary naturalist Sir David Attenborough calls you out, maybe, just maybe you should listen.

The 93-year-old conversationist sat down today to speak with British lawmakers about the need for urgent climate action.

He emphasised that a failure to do so would lead to “social unrest”, but urged us not to lose hope.

Whilst giving his speech, the graceful and concerned icon took a moment to focus on the mismanagement with current political leaders across the globe.

Unfortunately for us, Sir Attenborough had to apologise on behalf of our government, whose actions have been uninspiring to say the least.

Attenborough made it clear in the full presentation which can be viewed here, that hope is not lost, despite our “irreversible” damage.

He also asserted that a disregard of climate change policies has done no favours for securing a cleaner world and future for the youth of society.

“I am sorry that there are people who are in power, internationally, notably, of course, the United States but also in Australia, which is extraordinary actually because Australia is already facing having to deal with some of the most extreme manifestations of climate change”

Being singled out by the legend is embarrassing enough, to say the least, but let’s be honest, we deserve it.

“Dealing with these problems means we have to change our lifestyle, because dealing with these problems internationally, it’s going to cost money.”

Hopefully, someone hears Sir David Attenborough’s words of warning, as he takes a final stand to convince the masses.

We are so much better than this, it’s time to do what we can to fight climate change.
