Despite dishing out fines for the likes of eating a kebab on a park bench, some cops aren’t practicing what they preach.
Case in point – two police officers in NSW, who were each fined $1,000 for getting on the booze at a party over the weekend.
The pair, both in their mid-20’s, were given away when one of them was spotted drunk and had to be admitted to hospital.
The incident came with an extra slice of irony, with their boss, NSW Police Commissioner Mick Fuller, urging residents to dob in backpackers that they see not adhering to social distancing laws.

Social distancing has been something everyone has had to get used too
The past 24-hours have seen fines handed out around the country for all kinds of reasons, including one to a learner driver who was getting their hours up with their mother.
Thankfully, that fine has since been withdrawn.

“We cannot have communities who currently don’t have the virus get contaminated unintentionally because people are moving around when they shouldn’t.”
