Sony has revealed that they are currently developing TV shows for popular PlayStation games Horizon Zero Dawn, God Of War and Gran Turismo.

The revelation was made during a live Q&A for their Business Segment Briefings 2022. During the segment, the Sony representative shared that Horizon will be released on Netflix, while God of War TV show will be streamed on Amazon Prime. There was no mention of where the Gran Turismo TV show will be available.

Horizon, God of War and Gran Turismo are all popular PlayStation games and make up three of ten projects that are currently in development based on PlayStation franchises. Aside from the aforementioned three games, Sony has previously revealed that it’s releasing The Last Of Us and Twisted Metal TV shows as well as the Ghost of Tsushima movie. The remaining four TV shows or movies are yet to be confirmed.

Deadline previously reported whispers of a God of War TV Series adaptation coming to Prime Video. “I hear the series adaptation comes from The Expanse creators/executive producers Mark Fergus and Hawk Ostby and The Wheel of Time executive producer/showrunner Rafe Judkins as well as Sony Pictures Television and PlayStation Productions, which collaborate on all TV series based on PlayStation games,” they reported in March.

Earlier this year, PlayStation officially announced its newest offering PSVR 2. The model is an upgrade from the 2015 PSVR, which is a VR headset from Sony. The PSVR 2 is set to work exclusively with PlayStation 5. It’s been speculated that the headset will be released somewhere between the end of 2022 and the beginning of 2023.

At the time of the announcement of the new device, the tech company also shared that they will be releasing a new PS5 game called Horizon: Call of the Mound, which will be specially built for PlayStation VR2. The release date for the game is TBC.
