Just days after Dr Andrew Firgaira confirmed his split from Sophie Guidolin, the influencer has revealed that the break up was her choice.

A split between Sophie Guidolin, who has over 561,000 followers on Instagram, and her husband Dr Firgaira was highly speculated after the influencer stopped sharing photos of him and uploaded many posts with cryptic captions. Furthermore, despite Guidolin giving birth to their first child together, Pixie, who was stillborn, last month, Dr Firgaira didn’t feature on her social media, and she removed all photos of them together.

On Wednesday, Dr Firgaira confirmed that he and Guidolin had split.

“In order to remove the constant speculation I’ll answer this once by saying we are no longer together,” he wrote in an Instagram comment.

He continued, “I have my reasons why and I’m not prepared to discuss this matter any further.”

He added, “I would ask everyone to refrain from any further comments relating to my recent relationship as nothing positive can come from discussing it any further”.

After Dr Firgaira’s comment, Guidolin broke her silence on the split. When a follower commented on one of her pics asking “Where’s your hubby”, she responded: “I left him.”

In a reply to another comment, the fitness influencer wrote: “I’m not with him [Dr Andrew Firgaira ], hence the deletion of any photos.”

The 34-year-old shared a follow up post on her Instagram where she revealed that she had recently rebuilt her relationship with her teenage son, who she had been estranged from.

“The silver lining 🌻,” she captioned a photo of her and her son hugging. She continued: “Gratitude x a million to have you back in my arms 🥺 I will do everything in my power to never let you anyone or anything ever come between our bond 💫 33… Nothing on earth could have prepared me for the year that was 🥺 Here’s to redoing 33 💕.”
