Survivor Australia star Sophie Cachia has updated fans on her relationship status by selling her engagement ring.

People do a lot of things to move on from relationships. Survivor Australia star Sophie Cachia, for example, has sold her engagement ring on Instagram.

As reported by So Dramatic!, Cachia uploaded a video of her diamond engagement ring on her Instagram, claiming it had ‘bad juju’ after her split from partner Maddie Garrick in October of last year.

“Such a weird experience. Anyone after a ring?” she said, adding: “Mum told me to keep it because I worked hard for it… but I’m not here for the bad juju it brings to my space & to put it simply: it hurts my heart.”

She also revealed that she designed the ring herself, letting fans in on what the elements meant. “[The] three diamonds represented both my children and I, and it actually meant so much for me to design it for that reason with the meaning behind it.”

Then, in what was perhaps a subtle dig, she added: “To not even be seen as worthy or meaningful for more than six months… babe, you gotta go.”

Cachia split from her partner Garrick in October 2022 – a move that shocked everyone.

While details were not revealed at the time, Cachia was more than gracious in her message to Garrick, telling The Herald Sun: “While breakups are sad for everyone, I have chosen to have a really positive mindset, and I have peace knowing we shared a wonderful few years together, and I wish her all the best both personally and professionally overseas.”

“You can either choose to stay the same or grow from it, and I promised myself I’d never let anyone break me again,” she added. “I could play the poor me card, or I could look at the life I’ve built — I have two incredible children, a beautiful home and a wonderful career. I really have everything I need.”
