Mission Australia’s Creative Youth Initiatives, which provide free arts programs for disadvantaged youth, will releaseBasement Chronicleson Thursday February 6, an album of original music by students from the Sounds of the Street (SOTS) program.

Spanning an eclectic collection of genres from indie rock, folk and metal to hip hop and electronica, Basement Chronicles is the delicious fruit of a 20-week TAFE-accredited course where students learn to compose, perform and record their own music.

The compositions were professionally mixed and mastered at Studios 301.

To showcase the diversity of talent on display in Basement Chronicles, SOTS students will be performing their original music at the Red Rattler on Thursday February 6 from 5pm as part of the album launch.
