Sydney’s first ever pop-up reggae bar will feature a selection of leading reggae bands and DJs for one guaranteed colourful and festive event. Ain’t no lockout laws killing the Sydney DIY scene, that’s for sure.

Sparky’s Reggae Bar represents the collaboration of Ernie Garland from Kinsky, the Hive Bar in Erskineville, art collective Create or Die and venue, The Studio. With Summer on its way, reggae/bass culture is proving that Sydney has more to offer than ‘Top 40’ music-playing nightclubs, AC/DC cover bands, and 2am lockouts. Opening night will see gigs fromMore Judgement, Basslines, BHOPPSand Mooch with more being announced soon.

Sparky’s opens on Friday November 16 at 10 Mitchell Street, Marrickville. Tickets for opening night will be $10 at the door and will be running until late in the evening.
