Get ready to spice up your life, because the Spice Girls are reportedly on track to announce a reunion tour this week.

The last year has been rather wild for fans of the ’90s girl group. Last November, it was reported that the group were set to reunite in 2018 for a new album and TV special. Needless to say, fans were pretty keen to see if these reports would turn out to be accurate.

Then, back in February, we finally got the news that we’d been waiting for, with the five members announcing that there were good things to come in 2018. “The time now feels right to explore some incredible new opportunities together”, they wrote in a joint statement at the time.

After Mel B explained to the American version of The Today Show that the group planned to head out and do a tour, fans were undoubtedly stoked, eagerly awaiting the announcement of these tour dates. Now, it appears they’re about to be released.

As The Sun‘s Dan Wootton has revealed, the Spice Girls are set to reunite on Monday to announce a series of UK tour dates that will see them performing in stadiums next year.

Additionally, the group are also on track to appear on Jonathan Ross’ talk show to discuss the upcoming tour.

However, it appears as though this upcoming tour will be seeing the group only appear as a quartet, with Victoria ‘Posh Spice’ Beckham reportedly choosing to sit it out to focus on her fashion business.

This of course follows on from the statements Beckham made earlier this year when she disputed the idea that the band would in fact be touring. “I’m not going on tour,” she explained at the time. “The girls aren’t going on tour.”

However, Mel B shot back at Victoria Beckham’s comments in her interview back in June, noting “She’s always bloody saying that.”

“We are touring,” she continued. “Yes, we are going to be doing performances together, for sure.”

So now’s the time to start busting out all your old Spice Girls CD (or pick them up from Kmart on the cheap while you still can) in preparation for the group’s upcoming dates. Will Australia be graced with their presence? Only time will tell, but at this stage, we’re feeling hopeful.
