Over the past year, Stan has really cemented itself as a leader in film and TV originals in the Australian markets.
The release of Poker Face, directed and written by Rian Johnson (Knives Out), is just another addition to Stan’s original resume. The 10-part mystery-of-the-week series stars an all-star cast including Academy Award winner Adrien Brody (The Pianist, The Grand Budapest Hotel), Emmy® Award winner Joseph Gordon-Levitt (Don Jon) and Emmy nominee Natasha Lyonne (Orange is the New Black, Russian Doll).
Poker Face follows Charlie Cale, played by Natasha Lyonne, who hits the road and repeatedly stumbles across mysteries that she can’t help but solve, thanks to her extraordinary ability to determine when someone is lying.
Transfusion is another Stan original that’s being released in January and the film stars Avatar’s Sam Worthington along with Phoebe Tonkin (Bloom) and Matt Nable (Poker Face). The Australian thriller follows Worthington, who is a former Special Forces operative, who is struggling after the death of his wife, and becomes part of the criminal underworld in order to keep his son from being taken from him.
