The NSW Service for the Treatment and Rehabilitation of Torture and Trauma Survivors (STARTTS) will be holding an event on Sunday December 21 to celebrate refugee and multicultural communities across Sydney.

The free family frienly event will exhibit over 100 performers from different commnuties, exploring the cultures and history of an array of cultures.

From Iraqi sacred music to the songs of freedom from South Sudan LET IT BE will celebrate life through the uplifting power of music.

Preformances will be seen from the Arabic ‘Choir of Love’, South Sudanese Women’s Performance Group, Bosnian Women’s ‘Blue River Choir’ and the Spanish Speaking Choir. As well as performances from guestsAnnette Tesoriero and Elia Bosshard.

STARTTS encourages and enables refugee communities to build support networks and engage in cultural practice to enhance connectivity to both the community and home. Their programs span across visual arts, music, dance, film making and cultural celebrations.
