Survivor may not have started yet, but one familiar face is already tipped to take out the win in the upcoming Heros vs Villain season.

Last month, Channel 10 confirmed the full cast of Survivor Australia 2023, and amongst those names are ex AFL player David Zaharakis, CNN anchor Anjali Rao, Survivor: Brains V Brawn runner-up George Mladenov and Survivor fan favourite Shonee Fairfax.

Popular gambling site Sportsbet has pinned one pair of contestants most likely to take home the title of sole survivor and the $500,000 prize money. The betting site has only listed David, Anjali, George and Shonee as contestants that punters can bet on, and they’ve input four different categories; To be sole survivor (outright winner), To finish in top 3, To finish in top 5, To finish in top 10, To be first person eliminated.

The dollar amounts currently sit as listed below:

David Zaharakis

  • To be sole survivor (outright winner): $10
  • To finish in top 3: $2.50
  • To finish in top 5: $1.80
  • To finish in top 10: $1.20
  • To be first person eliminated: $10

  • To finish in top 3: $5

As you can see above, George Mladenov has the highest odds to be the outright winner, at $8.50, meaning that he has had the most amount of money bet on them to take out the season. George currently has a return of $8.50, which means if someone bets $1.00 on them, they will take home $8.50, if they bet $10.00 on them they will take home $85.00 and so on.

Sportsbet posts commonly create categories for popular Australian reality shows and let people place bets about who they think will win. In the past, the contestants who have better odds have often ended up winning the show.

While the past has suggested that low dollar values are linked to a high chance that the participant will win, it’s important to note that insider trading is strictly banned on the platform and the connection could be purely coincidental.
