“[The Orpheum] redefines the premium moviegoing experience with incredibly colourful and detailed, lifelike 4K images”.

“The quality of the visuals presented during screenings of Avatar: The Way of Water is absolutely mind-blowing, and we are proud to be the only cinema in Sydney to exclusively screen this blockbuster film in HFR 3D at 14fL.”

The ground-breaking projector has become part of a phenomenal legacy for the theatre, having first opened its doors back in October of 1935, to host both films and live musicals.

After opening, closing, opening again and once more closing, the venue was restored and reopened as the Hayden Orpheum Picture Palace in 1987. Now, the theatre is at the forefront of technology while retaining its classic theatre charm that has now dubbed it a Sydney institution.

Han Kim, executive director of APAC Cinema at Christie, described the projectors as “the most advanced electronics [that] are at the forefront of modern cinema technologies”.

“We are very pleased that the CP4440-RGB fitted in Hayden Orpheum Picture Palace has proven itself as a high-performance projection system that offers a new world of colour and contrast”.

Avatar: The Way of Water is well on its way to being as successful as its predecessor and seeing it on a screen as powerful and stunning as this is an experience not to be missed.

The Hayden Orpheum Picture Palace is located at 380 Military Rd, Cremorne and tickets can be booked online, via their website.
