Okay, we were already smitten with the Sydney City Limits festival’s inaugural lineup, which boasts big name internationals like Beck, Grace Jones, The Libertines, Justice and more, plus a heap of locals like Gang of Youths, Vance Joy, Tash Sultana and Dune Rats – but the lineup of food on offer is looking just as appetising.

Curated by local “taste makers” (quite literally) Jake Smyth and Kenny Graham of Jake & Kenny’s Food Fight, a stack of Sydney’s best chefs will flock to the festival when it hits on February 24, 2018, bringing just about every type of cuisine you could ever hope for.

“As born and bred Sydney-siders, we are as proud as punch to be the food and booze co-conspirators for the first ever Sydney City Limits!” the duo say. “What a goddamn honour!

“We will be bringing the very fucking best of our vibrant and diverse food scene,” they add, clearly pretty excited about the prospect, and they assure us they’ll be “throwing the net further than the usual inner-city limits.”

The pair have hand-picked a bunch of Sydney’s most beloved food offerings, while being sure not to blow out the budgets of hungry punters, offering plenty of options.

“This festival has long been a celebration of its host city, and we plan to celebrate Sydney with all our naughty little hearts!” they add, noting the focus both Austin and Auckland City Limits have always placed on promoting the local produce. “Long Live Sydney!”

“Super excited to have Jake and Kenny onboard for Sydney City Limits!” adds the festival’s producer Jessica Ducrou. “I couldn’t think of anyone more suited to craft our food and booze offerings, their ability to sniff out the best pho in town is nothing less than aspirational!

“Its very cool that we get to present great music alongside the best eats in town,” she adds. “Thanks Jake and Kenny for the extra kilograms…”

Check out the full list of food on offer right here, from the legends at iconic burger joint Mary’s, to Halal snack packs, vegan Mexican, and even ‘The Unicorn Hotel’ – a place for the kids and their families to go to eat, packed with rainbows and tasty feeds.
