Sydney’s oldest comic book store, Comic Kingdom, will shut its doors after over 30 years in various locations around the city.

The comic den, which is located on Liverpool Street, has been showing signs of demise for years, and has struggled to stay afloat in the internet era. Its closure is being reported by behindthepanels.net.

In its heyday, Comic Kingdom was like a better version of your grandparents’ garage – you went in looking for one thing, and inevitably came out with something more exquisite and rare, that you never knew you wanted or needed.

It’ll be a shame to see it go.
