With just over a month to go until the big day, TEDxSydney has released a lineup of unique performances from some special artists.

The folks over at TEDxSydney deliver creative and innovative events every year, and 2015 is no different. In the spirit of spreading ideas, they are offering up an eclectic lineup of performers who will complement the speaker, film and food program. The performances will provide “layers of tradition, innovation, skill, and a little bit of quirk”, as performance curator Jordan Verzar says.

This years performers include composer, vocalist and instrumentalist Lisa Gerrard; one of the best Master Drummers in the world, Mohmed Bangoura; singer, songwriter and composer Jack Ladder; visually compelling and futuristic percussionist Alon Ilsar; a snapshot of 80-minute dance theatre pieceChi Udaka; extraordinary songwriter and guitarist Frank Yamma; and internationally renowned saxophonist Sandy Evans with James Greening and Boyd.

TEDxSydney will take place in the Concert Hall at the Sydney Opera House on Thursday May 21. Unfortunately, applications to be in the audience of this year’s event have already closed. If you’ve already got a ticket, then lucky you! If you wish you had one, head to their website and become a member so that you don’t miss out next year.
