If you have a Euphoria-sized hole and are looking for a new TV series to binge then look no further than Hulu’s new original drama Tell Me Lies.
The twisted college-based series has been touted as the next Euphoria and although only four episodes have been released, it’s already receiving rave reviews.
Unfortunately, Tell Me Lies is a Hulu original – and the streaming platform Hulu isn’t available in Australia. Fortunately for us, Disney+ has bridged the gap and uploads the episodes to their streaming platform as soon as they air in the US.
As of now, the first four episodes of the series are currently available for viewing (the first three episodes dropped on September 7th), and additional episodes are released weekly on Wednesdays.
Emma Roberts and Meaghan Oppenheimer are executive producers of the 10-episode series which is based on Carola Lovering’s 2018 book Tell Me Lies.
According to the show’s synopsis, Tell Me Lies follows a turbulent but enthralling relationship as it develops over the period of eight years.”
“When Lucy and Stephen first meet, she can tell that he has a darker side right away, just as she can see it in herself. As a result, Lucy unintentionally reveals her inner demons. Together, they will set off on a turbulent trip that will have effects that neither could have foreseen.”

Speaking to Variety, Roberts said that she aimed to make the lead male character Stephen (played by Jackson White) more likable than he is in the book as a way to draw in viewers.
“He has to walk such a fine line and he’s going to be polarizing, no matter who you cast in this role. Not everyone is gonna like him and they shouldn’t. But getting everyone on board with the idea, being like, not everyone’s gonna like the lead character, is a little scary for some people to hear from a writer,” she told the publication.
The first four episodes of Tell Me Lies are currently available for streaming on Disney+.
