The Bachelor veteran Florence Alexandra has torched the new format of the show, The Bachelors, and questioned where the budget has gone.

Flo is certainly no stranger to Bachelor Nation, she came fourth on Matty J’s season of The Bachelor back in 2017, Bachelor in Paradise Australia in 2018 and again in 2019 before appearing on Bachelor in Paradise America last year. So, the reality star certainly has the experience to weigh in on the new format which sees three Bachelors living in a penthouse together.

“I don’t understand why they had to change the concept so much with the super modern mansion, the three Bachelors, and even the styling,” she told Yahoo Lifestyle. “The girls are wearing a lot more casual stuff to rose ceremonies, and the dates have had a budget cut I believe.

“I don’t know where the budget went, but I went on a chopper like four times on The Bachelor and Bachelor in Paradise. It was chopper galore, but I haven’t seen a chopper once!”

Flo added that she doesn’t think the franchise will be able to switch back to a more romantic version like previous seasons, if the current season isn’t successful.

“We’re never going to go back to the fairytale mansion we used to know,” she added. “I had really good experiences with the production and I used to think highly of them, but now I’m like, did you hire new people? Or what’s this decision-making? Because you know how to produce a good show.

“Also, the whole sexual aspect this season is something that we never had and I think it was part of the charm of the show. It was kind of like ‘no sex before marriage’ and we focused on the connection. Now it’s just a bit sleazy, and I have a feeling that this is the reason why the relationships are probably not going to stand the test of time.”
