Abdul Kadws Mohammed Amin, the man charged with stabbing The Bachelorette Australia star Paddy Colliar has pleaded not guilty to the aggravated charge of causing harm with intent.
Colliar was stabbed in August last year while working as a topless waiter. As per News.com.au, the stabbing allegedly occurred when Amin was arguing with a woman at a party held at the Pole-4-Fitness pole dancing studio along Beafield Rd in Para Hills West, when Colliar intervened and suffered stab wounds to his back.
“I kind of jumped in and said, ‘listen, that’s no way to talk to a woman’,” the reality star told 7News last August of the altercation. “And I looked down, and there was just an actual fountain, just started pouring out.”
“(Someone said) ‘oh my god, Paddy, you’ve been stabbed’.
“Next minute, I was in a pool of blood.”
“I felt like in the moment it was the right thing to do,” he said.
“I don’t regret it at all. Violence against women is a big no.”

Amin pleaded not guilty to the aggravated charge of causing harm with intent at Adelaide District Court on Friday and a trial date has been set for October 2023. He appeared before Judge Joana Fuller alongside lawyer Kate Budzynski.
Paddy appeared on Ali Oetjen’s season of The Bachelorette, and went on to star in season two of Bachelor in Paradise Australia.
The upcoming season of The Bachelor will make history with it’s three leading men, Thomas Malucelli, Felix Von Hofe and Jed McIntosh. The new instalment was expected to air in the latter half of this year, however, last month Channel 10 announced it would be postponed until 2023.
“Ten have made the call to delay the show until early 2023, so they can focus on promoting The Real Love Boat,” a source told Daily Mail Australia. “I don’t see them airing reality dating shows back-to-back, and there’s only 10 ratings weeks left.
“They would rather hold it and give it the publicity it needs.”
