The Challenge stars Ryan Gallagher and Emily Seebohm are engaged

The Challenge stars Ryan Gallagher and Emily Seebohm have announced that they are engaged just three months after going public with their relationship.

Ryan and Emily met on The Challenge, where they competed against other reality stars for $200,000. They were paired up together in the first challenge, and quickly grew closer. However, despite their closeness on The Challenge, Emily said they never hooked up during filming.

“After the show, we both met up in Argentina and we decided to go travelling together and yeah, we’ve kind of been inseparable since the show,” she continues.

“I’m super happy. I know I didn’t win the show, but I definitely feel like I won… We’re saying it’s love.”

Now, three months after debuting their romantic relationship, the pair have announced that they are engaged.

“When you know, you know,” Ryan told Woman’s Day, explaining that he proposed to her on his rural property.
I thought it was the right spot to do it – she loves the horses and she often swims in the dam,” he said.

Ryan added, “I did get nervous though. The [ring] box was making a bit of a bulge in my pocket. So either she knew I was proposing or she just thought I was happy to see her.”

Emily told the publication that she said “yes”, and called the proposal a “really special, cute moment”.

“It definitely had a Ryan flair to it and it’s something I’ll cherish forever,” she added.

Ryan, who previously starred in MAFS season five and on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Outta Here, shared the happy news to his Instagram page this morning. “Yeehaaa,” he captioned a photo of himself and the Olympic swimmer in a car who is flashing a massive rock on her engagement finger.
