The entire cast for season seven of Below Deck Med has been released, and there are more than a few familiar famous returning to work on the superyacht.

Franchise fans will already be familiar with returnees Sandy Yawn (captain), Mzi Dempers (deckhand), and Courtney Veale: (former stew come deckhand). The three reality stars will be joined by seven new faces, Natasha, David, Raygan, Kyle, Natalya, Storm and Jason.

While it was widely rumoured that controversial bosun Malia White, who starred in season two and season five of the show, would be returning it appears as though she’s been replaced by newcomer Raygun as the bosun.

White faced backlash from BD fans when she reported popular chief stew Hannah Ferrier to Captain Sandy for having anti-anxiety medicine and a vape pen on board. Because the drugs weren’t reported to the caption, Ferrier was fired from her job. She starred in seasons one through five of Below Deck Med and was largely regarded as a fan favourite.

Below Deck Med is one of three spins offs from the original Below Deck series. Below Deck Sailing and Below Deck Down Under are the other two spinoffs, and both series are currently screening.

Courtney Veale and Mzi Dempers shared a casual romantic relationship during season six of BD, and have fans speculating whether they’ll continue their tryst this season. However, the two yachties revealed in the reunion show that they didn’t continue their relationship post filming and that Veale began dating engineer Jake Baker.

While neither the release date or the location for Below Deck Med Season seven has been officially revealed yet, it’s speculated that the show will premiere at some point in the second quarter of 2022. It’s also been reported that BDM was filmed in both Malta and Croatia.

“Though the newest season is all about Croatia, the crew was spotted by some keen-eyed Maltese fans doing some work while enjoying some sun and fun in Mellieħa,” an Instagram by LovinMalta stated.
