After nine months of dating, the fairytale romance of Pete Davidson and Kim Kardashian came to an end last week.

It might not have lasted long but what a wild celebrity relationship it was: Kim’s ex, Kanye West, cyber bullied and cyber stalked the pair; Pete decided to get an ill-fated tattoo of Kim and her kid’s initials; Kim revealed on her reality show that she basically got together with the Saturday Night Live comedian because he had “BDE.”

As reported by E!, the end of the relationship isn’t the end of Kim and Pete though, with the duo reportedly deciding to remain friends.

Despite looking like a mild cold could be the death of him, Pete should be fine on the dating front: this is the man who’s previously dated Ariana Grande, Kate Beckinsale, and Margaret Qualley after all.

And everyone on social media has had plenty of wonderful ideas for who the comic should get with next in the aftermath of his relationship ending.

Several Twitter users suggested that Pete and Queen Elizabeth would make a cute couple, although it’s unlikely he’d be willing to deal with her troublesome children. Such baggage.

Someone hoped that Susan Sarandon would be his ” next way-more-famous girlfriend.” Someone else joked that Succession character Kendall Roy would be a good suitor for Pete.

Wishful thinking was on show elsewhere. “Watch Pete Davidson date Matt Healy next,” and a romance between Pete and The 1975 singer may well finally break the internet.

Others panicked that Pete was going after their favourite singers. “I saw Cher trending under Pete Davidson and my first thought was “Pete you sonofabitch,” joked one Twitter user.

No matter who Pete ends up with, there’s a good chance it’ll be someone older than him. “I don’t know why we hate on Pete Davidson so much when he’s the one famous white male comedian who dates OLDER women,” hilariously noted someone.

Good luck with your next move, Pete. You’ll need it.
