In confronting news, actor Shaun Weiss has been arrested for residential burglary. Weiss is also under suspicion of being high on methamphetamine

Weiss is most famous for portraying Greg Goldberg in all three Mighty Ducks movies. But his career never got going after the release of D3: The Mighty Ducks in 1996 and Weiss has encountered repeated legal difficulties in recent years.

Goldberg is one of the most loved characters from the seminal film trilogy. Weiss perfectly portrays him as a goofball who endears himself on account of personality more than ice hockey prowess. But while the likes of Joshua Jackson (Charlie Conway) and Kenan Thompson (Russ Tyler) established successful careers after the series’ completion, Weiss has been plagued by personal and legal struggles.

He was handed a 150-day sentence for petty theft in 2017. It was the second time Weiss had been busted for such an infraction. And while his jail time was reduced, he was in trouble just days after release. People reported that Weiss was caught in possession of methamphetamine, which incurred another 90 days imprisonment.

But it wasn’t until 2018 that the world started to grasp the true extent of Weiss’ woes. He was arrested in August 2018 for public intoxication. This led to his emaciated mug shot going viral. He vouched to enter rehab in the aftermath of the arrest.

“I have checked in to a well regarded, long term rehabilitation center,” he wrote at the time. “I have surrendered to the reality that without immediate treatment my life is in imminent danger.”

However, news of Weiss’ latest arrest indicates he’s fallen off the wagon again. TMZ reports that Weiss was found pillaging a car inside a stranger’s garage. Police believe he was under the influence of meth, and he’s been sent to California’s Yuba County Jail.
