The title for Avengers 5 might’ve leaked ahead of SDCC panel

Multiple different titles for Avengers 5 might have just been leaked by a Redditor ahead of the SDCC panel.

Marvel may have just accidentally revealed all of the title options for Avengers 5 while filing patents for various film titles. While the owner of the patent is currently hidden, the filer, Mitscherlich, is an attorney’s office that has recently worked with Disney on film production patents for projects like Sneakerella.

The leaked titles were first shared on Reddit in r/LeaksandRumors and include five different titles. The titles in question are:

Avengers: Secret Wars 

Avengers: The Kang Dynasty

Captain America: The New World Order

Multiverse Saga

Thunderbolts

These titles can be traced back to the European Union Intellectual Property Office by the OP’s comment under their post. It’s important to include that Marvel has filed fake patents in the past as red herrings to throw dedicated leakers off the sent.

It is also a possibility that the two Avengers titles are for two separate movies. Fans of Marvel comics know that Kang is a larger-scale villain and would be represented on the same level as Thanos in the MCU. Perhaps Marvel is looking to recreate what they did with Infinity War and have Kang come out victorious at the end of one of these films.

Kang plays a big role in the original Secret Wars comics alongside Doctor Doom and a plethora of other villains. If Marvel Studios is to follow the comics, the Avengers: Secret Wars movie could be a setup for both Kang, Doctor Doom, and many of the other Marvel characters that were brought in during the Fox merger. It would be the perfect movie to establish Doom as a prominent force and would also serve as a tool to introduce the rest of the Earth-616 (the designation for the main MCU universe) characters to Kang.

Loki and Sylvie already discovered and killed the Prime Kang in Loki, unleashing an infinite swarm of Kangs upon the universe, and Secret Wars would be the perfect movie to set him up within the MCU proper— establishing him as a villain serving under Doctor Doom on Battleworld before seeing an ascension in power by the end of the film.

This would lead perfectly into Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, where we could see the consequences of Kang’s rule upon the MCU.
