Though another trilogy of Spider-Man films is coming to a close, it seems Tom Holland and Spidey might just be getting started.

Though No Way Home has fans asking what the future for the web-slinger might look like, Holland (Peter Parker/Spider-Man) has suggested he isn’t going anywhere. Speaking with Michael Buckner from Variety, Holland jokes “I think it’s 12 now?” when asked how many Spider-Man films he still has to make.

“I could have sworn it was 34”, teased Jacob Batalon (Ned). “No, it’s until he’s 34”, added Zendaya (MJ).

Though it seems we have more Spider-Man adventures then months in a year, it has given time to see these characters grow and change at a slower and more detailed pace.

“I kinda knew that the character would start off small and grow”, Zendaya explains, speaking of her character MJ. “But I did not know how it would grow. I did not know the things they were gonna go through. I definitely didn’t see Spider-Man’s identity being known to the world. But it really opened up so many more possibilities”

“I was pretty shocked”, Holland concurred. “I was also pretty worried, I care a lot about Peter Parker and I know that his identity being revealed would be a bad thing for him, so I was worried about it, but equally excited at the challenge and the prospects of what might come along with that idea”

At the premiere of No Way Home, Sony producers shared their excitement for the future of Spider-Man and Tom Holland’s involvement.

Trilogy producer Amy Pascal stated “You know what? As long as [Holland] wants to make Spider-Man movies. If I have my way, we will”.

Tom Rothman, CEO of Sony Pictures reiterated this; “I will confirm that my dear sister in arms, Amy, is a very optimistic person. Nothing has been determined, but on the other hand, everything is still possible”.

Executive producer Victoria Alonso shared the excitement saying “God bless, Amy. I’m in. Let’s go. I’m ready to go. If Amy said three movies with Tom Holland, she’s the boss. If the world works out that he does, he does”.

One thing is for sure: if you’ve had your doubts about Holland’s incarnation of Spider-Man, best get used to him!
