The first trailer for the upcoming Breaking Bad movie has finally arrived, and it’s enough to make fans fall in love with the series all over again.

When Breaking Bad wrapped up its final episode back in 2013, fans obviously were left wanting so much more.

After all, with such a voracious following and a litany of awards to its name, producers would have been silly to not give fans what they wanted, and to expand upon the story of Walter White, his meth empire, and the characters associated with him along the way.

Thankfully, the arrival of Better Call Saul in 2015 was warmly received, though talk of a full-length movie lingered as the years have gone by.

Now, almost 12 years after the series first premiered, Netflix have dropped the first official trailer to El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie.

Simple in its content, the minute-long trailer features little except Charles Baker portraying a rather haggard-looking Skinny Pete, refusing to help law enforcement track down Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul) following his escape from imprisonment, as seen at the end of the final episode.

Directed by series creator Vince Gilligan, producers have managed to keep things under wraps remarkably well, filming the new movie late last year under the code name Greenbrier.

The arrival of the film’s trailer may have actually been pushed up somewhat following the seemingly-accidental revelation by Bob Odenkirk (Saul Goodman) that the film had already wrapped up production.

“I’ve heard so many different things about it, but I am excited about the Breaking Bad movie. I can’t wait to see it,” Odenkirk explained to The Hollywood Reporter earlier this week.

“I don’t know what people know and don’t know,” he continued. “I find it hard to believe you don’t know it was shot. They did it. You know what I mean? How is that a secret? But it is. They’ve done an amazing job of keeping it a secret.”

While the details about the film are understandably scarce at the current time, an article from The New York Times notes that the film is set to expand upon Jesse’s life after the series, and is named for the Chevrolet El Camino he was seen speeding away in during the closing moments of the finale.

El Camino is set to premiere on Netflix on October 11th, so we won’t have that long to wait before it hits our screens. Needless to say, it’s been far too long between drinks for fans of the iconic series.
