There was a time when boxing was a well-respected, albeit brutal and bloody, sport. These days, it’s more famous for fights between cocky YouTubers and MAFS stars.

As per So Dramatic!, 2022 contestant Jackson Lonie is set to step into the ring for an almighty battle – or rather, a limp jab-fest – against MAFS 2021 contestant Sam Carraro in October. Two controversial grooms going at each other – let the sparks fly.

It follows the news that fellow MAFS stars Brent Vitiello and Daniel Holmes decided to take their feud off social media and into the ring. After Daniel presented the idea of a celebrity boxing match to his foe on Instagram, Brent was all too happy to accept.

“Brent is literally the only person from this season of MAFS that I just am not a fan of,” was some of Daniel’s opening fighting talk. Daniel was allegedly first challenged to a match by his other MAFS co-star Mitch Eynaud, but wisely turned down the offer due to Mitch being rather handy at boxing.

Jackson better be careful because Sam has previous in the celebrity boxing world: last year he took on Love Island Australia‘s Todd Elton and won. Not content with that triumph, he even challenged MAFS rival Bryce Ruthven to a fight, when the poor fella was just watching as a spectator.

And what if Sam doesn’t like cheaters? Jackson might be in for it then, given his escapades at Melbourne’s Lava Lounge recently. According to Jackson’s girlfriend Olivia, however, he’s been training very hard for his battle with Sam.

The upcoming MAFS boxing bouts are being hosted by Team Ellis Boxing, with the next celebrity night scheduled for October 15th. We’ll keep you in the loop with ticket details when they come.
